Feel like Oliver should at get a final, but feel he will be overshadowed by Taylor as UEFA prefer Taylor

General Discussion / Re: Glenn Nyberg - Arsenal v Bayern Munich (CL Quarter Final)« on: Wed 10 Apr 2024 17:29 »
Very good game of football and I think Nyberg had a great game. When I was watching, my first intial thought was penalty and screamed at my laptop for a penalty. However all it took was one replay to see how that is never a penalty. As an Arsenal fan, it’s annoying to see Saka try to con the ref but that happens with every team so it’s no surprise he does it and Arsenal aren’t the worst team to do so.
When the appointments came out I was a bit worried that himself and Lexeteir were put on last nights games, but Nyberg proved he deserved it. Can’t comment about Lexeteir as I was in and out of watching that game 3
General Discussion / Re: West Ham wolves Tony Harrington(tim Robinson var)« on: Sun 07 Apr 2024 00:01 »
It’s a **** rule, as I don’t think Fabianski is ever getting there but it’s a good use of var to suggest an onfield review and good decision to overturn it

General Discussion / A Madley - Brentford vs Brighton - M Oliver VAR« on: Wed 03 Apr 2024 20:21 »
Good decision from Madley not to award a penalty after been sent to the monitor by Oliver. Dunk fouled however he fouled the player first

That is poor from onfield point of view, should easily be given on field but good intervention

Never really enjoyed him, and tonight was no different, however was consistent throughout the whole game. Would have preferred a ref who could have let a few more things go

Cup Appointments / Re: EFL Cup [Carabao Cup] - 2023/2024« on: Wed 14 Feb 2024 17:46 »Is this a send off for Scholes??Scholes is very deserving of this game. I remember throughout the early days of VAR, him and Mike Dean were the reliable duo who you could rely on as a safe pair of hands. He's also great for calling a tight offside. However it perhaps could be a send off. Hope it didn’t come off that I thought he only got this because it’s a send off present Fully deserving of this appointment, just wondered whether he might retire after this one? 13
Cup Appointments / Re: EFL Cup [Carabao Cup] - 2023/2024« on: Wed 14 Feb 2024 17:07 »
Bit surprised James Mainwaring and Mark Scholes have changed roles considering they have been working as James as AR1 and Mark as AR2 for the last couple of weeks
However great appointments, especially for Robinson as fourthers Is this a send off for Scholes?? 14

Seems like kavanagh is dead set for the league cup final
Kavanagh ✅ Mainwaring ✅ Scholes ✅ Jones ? Howson ? Brooks ? Davies? 15
General Discussion / Re: Paul Tierney - Liverpool v Chelsea« on: Thu 01 Feb 2024 12:55 »
Only seen the highlights on YouTube and it showed two penalty incidents. 1 given, 1 not. Both for me are correct. For the Chelsea incident, thrown himself to the ground. And for the penalty for Liverpool that was given I think there’s enough contact to give a penalty
