W.O. being Warrant Officer James "Jim" Baxter who was a league ref for a couple of seasons in the late 50s

Still looking for the other Baxter in the RAF - W.J. (stationed in Lincoln when he lined the League Cup final) he never made the refs list

Daft is/was a common name in Derby/Notts. A family of them played cricket for Notts. Richard was a top player in the 1860 & 1870s.

He often took his younger brother Frank, then operating in the Yorkshire League, as one of them

Frank ran a line at 1964 Charity Shield
