No Oliver or Taylor.does anyone know if Oliver’s injured or taking a break??

There is a UEFA course that week which probably explains Taylor and Oliver’s absence.

Simon Hooper has replaced Peter Bankes as the VAR for tonight’s game between Brighton and Wolves.

Surprised that the appointments for the India v England Test series haven't been confirmed yet.

During the SA20 Kevin Pietersen said on commentary that Marais Erasmus is off to Hyderabad to officiate the first India v England test. If this is the case, I’d suspect Erasmus will have some involvement in at least the first two tests.

I don’t think we’ve seen Chris Gaffaney and Kumar Dharmasena since the World Cup, I’d imagine they’ll also be involved.

Cup Appointments / Re: Emirates FA Cup 2023/2024

Looks like one of the assistants went off injured at Molineux last night. A wolves season ticket holder and u12 referee ended up holding the boards!

A post on Reddit seems to suggest Harry Lennard went off ill just before start of extra time.

I think there’s the possibility that Kavanaugh will be saved for the FA cup final and someone else will get the league cup final, most likely Madley. If Kavanaugh does get the league cup final then the FA cup final must surely be for Attwell.

Eddie Smart has replaced Mark Scholes for the Wolves v Chelsea game on Christmas Eve.

Hope everything is ok with Kettleborough.

Great opportunity for Rusere, although slightly surprised Reiffel hasn’t been moved on field for both matches!

Yes also surprised that Reiffel hasn’t moved on field for both matches.

Raza and Rusere have umpired just 15 tests on field between them, excluding appointments made during Covid, that must be one of the least experienced umpiring pair in a test match.

Change to the India v South Africa appointments, Langton Rusere has replaced Richard Kettleborough for the test matches. Kettleborough has also been taken off the last ODI, with Raza replacing him and Jele taking over TV umpire duties.

Unfortunately Brych had to go off injured at half time.

Slightly surprised to see Wilson as TV umpire, ICC must rate him more than most on this forum seem to do.

Now we know the finalists, my money is on the two Richards getting the final with Gaffaney as TV umpire.

Semi final will also be Tuckers 100th ODI, would like to see him get the final if Australia don’t make it.

Cricket Australia have reported that Paul Wilson has retired as an international umpire. He will continue to umpire at the domestic level in Australia. Certainly news I was not expecting.

Very surprising, from what I saw he seemed to have a good World Cup. Could have been in with a shout of being on the elite panel in the next few years.
