Can't add much more to what has been said above. Looked confident, but not cocky, calm and in control.

Congrats to the team.

Cup Appointments / Re: EFL Cup [Carabao Cup] - 2022/2023
« on: Wed 15 Feb 2023 13:25 »
At a time when controversy needed to be avoided, mainstream media reporting the opposition by Newcastle fans of Cootes appointment, due to his "previous" love for Man Utd.

His previous decisions involving the two clubs along with the fact he is Manchester FA and that he has a fake photo of Old Trafford supposedly on his Facebook page doesn't help. He really shouldn't have this game in fact its a joke that he does.

With all this talk about Lee Mason being incompetent, Coote is even worse.

From what I've heard, the fake Old Trafford picture stuff is, well, fake, in that there's no substance to it.

What controversial decisions has Coote been involved in in Manchester United and Newcastle United matches? I recall some criticism over the Chelsea V Newcastle game last season.

Yeah a penalty call and possible red card.

Iíd say it was more the VAR on the day who failed to sent Coote to the screen.

Not watching the game tonight but here is Webb's pre-match segment for those who missed it:

Thanks for providing the link.

I think this is great, obviously Webb is much more confident in front of a camera than Riley was, but even so itís great to see. Hopefully it continues.

Are you watching Messrs Coote and Swarbrick?

Didnít Tierney take the same on field action as Coote did? It was England whoís helped Tierney out?

Good game for Salisbury though first top 6 team for him

He did Newcastle earlier in the season I think...  ;)

Order of the day across the premier league seems to have been interesting VAR calls.

Utter disbelief at how Mason and Salisbury have come to this decision thoughÖ

Adrian Holmes and Mark Scholes potentially club assistants for Newcastle this year?!

100% record after two games.

Very inspirational.

Must have been hard to talk publicly about what has happened, also nice to see how important the work relationships were to him.

Do not suffer in silence, speak out people. If anyone needs a chat, then feel free to message.  :-\

I also came across the Jarred Gillett film on the PGMOL YouTube channel.

An interesting look into his journey over here and his first PL game, Watford v Newcastle.

Select Group 2 / Re: Playoffs 2021/22

Media reports suggest VAR will not be used for the Semiís, and no indication yet itíll be used for the final either.

Just noticed the final is scheduled to be in St Petersburg which could be interesting for English fans travelling depending who reaches the final and what state the world is in!
