I understand Neil Hair has been out injured and not likely to return this season

It would be really interesting to know which is the chief criterion for getting a trial game at a more senior level. I guess it must be Observers' reports, always assuming there isn't any dirty work at the crossroads with favouritism.

Someone I am amazed hasn't been offered a trial is Neil Hair. He has been outstandingly good on the three times I have seen him, one of the very best I have seen in Leagues 1 and 2.  Clearly the Observers think otherwise or maybe he has indicated he does not wish to be considered for promotion and go full time.

Charles Breakspear is another who I think has been unfairly overlooked if, indeed, he is willing to go higher.

Just wondering why breakspear gets all of the derby/ rivalry but has never been given a promotion or trial game in the championship

Because he is a safe pair of hands that can deliver any game.  Has been overlooked for years now.  Obviously doesn’t fit the perfect profile that they seem to be after

James Oldham is now on the National League (Step 1)
As is Nicholas Cooper from the Assistants list

Darren Handley - Now an observer
Rob Lewis - Now a Ref coach
Michael George - Now an AR coach

4
He is a top ref and bloke

He speaks his mind and is honest.  Not afraid to share his opinion…

Probably the reason he has not been afforded the opportunity of SG1

His name does appear as a referee on the list of National Group officials published on Twitter and Instagram by the PGMOL just a week ago so I can see why the confusion.....
I agree, but this is due to the appointment of the coaches being made after the officials were released

Rob Lewis definitely hasn't retired spoke to him last week. He has had a niggle hes shaking off but will be back in due course.

You may need to speak to him again.  They were all offered the coaching roles on the proviso they stand down from officiating.
They were only informed of their employment around 1 Aug

There is a few officials showing on the list who weren’t appointed to the coach roles before it was released.
Those now on a coach role will no longer be officiating and become dedicated coaches

Earrings, chains, watches, no shin pads.- against Laws of the game.
Mixed teams - against FA rules

But it’s for charity so ignored.

It's raised £15 million already tonight.  Would you rather they strictly apply the laws and don't get players to turn up?

Great for charity and awesome event overall.
Just would like to see the basics adhered to.

You can now see that all of the ERDP officials both Ref and AR have been left out of the promotions.
They will be used in the same way as they were to the latter end of this season on a level or two above what they were this season.

Mr Duckworth works at the FA.
Enough said.

Manchester fa have already announced promotions up to level 4
These will be nominations to the FA for Level 4 not actual promotions as the FA will announce them later in the month I expect

Welcome to the EFL for Abigail Byrne, albeit as 4O.

Not sure I recall seeing her on the appointments list before but no doubt someone wiser than me will know.

Quite a few of the 2b refs have done 4th official duties this season, it’s becoming the normal.  More for the EFL trophy early rounds.
She has done a few this season

Strange that Premier league officials are being used in the first round
SG2 have got a training camp Tue and Wed so they aren’t available
