The name Graham Pooley has just come to mind

To be fair though he was so bad it was legendary

Fourth Round Proper

Sun 18th Jan 2026
AFC Bournemouth Women (First Team) v Manchester City Women FC (First Team)
F.A. Womens Cup
Referee: Dennington, Sophie
Assistant Referee: Whiteman, Lauren
Assistant Referee: Gill, Lucy
Fourth Official: Broad, Ella

Really looking forward to this one.

Fantastic game. Girls v Ladies but so proud of everything AFCB Ladies have achieved over the 2 years or so. When the only defeat is against the best women's team domestically, that's pretty special.

Sophie Dennington was superb as well.

Well done to 3 amazing teams of ladies. Good Luck to Man City in the next round and beyond. Hope we see this team ref again as well.

Being someone who watches Brighton wsl as well as mens,L have seenSophie officate us twice and she is a rising star who I feel is going to the top

I imagine this won’t be popular, but I’d add any Lee Mason or Mike Jones game. They were woeful.

Lee Mason has to be one of the worse refs I have ever seen at top level

I was at the game and it was reviewed by the var whom was Chris Kavanagh and the reason which given on the screen in the Amex was the referee had not made a clear and obvious error. At the game, though maybe due to where I was sat,I was surprised it had even be reviewed, but getting home and watching the highlights on my lap top,I admit it is a red card and this is from a Brighton fan myself.

I was there and stood not too far from the incident and if anything the incident is worse in real time than the video could do any justice to.The Worthing player on the receiving end(Think it was Kane Willis) did come back out albeit bandaged round his head.Special mention also to Kirsty Dowie ,who along with her handling of the incident ,had a very good game and more than times than not has impressed with me with her cool handling and this the 2nd time I have seen her officate in National League South as well as numerous times when she has reffed Brighton wsl games.Just a shame a few at the game shouted what I deem unacceptable remarks, though well done to the Dorking steward who gave those concerned a very stern lecture on their conduct

Bad night for him,not helped by his assistants, but then d`ont we all have the odd bad day in whatever occupation we are in and to be fair,I have seen Sam enough times to know he is capable of a far better performance

A really messy and unsavoury end to proceedings and to have both managers binned is virtually unheard of. The last one I can recall was Grandad Walton sending Mancini and Moyes off at the Etihad.

On the plus side, no Nuno in the dugout when we visit Forest next weekend.

De Zerbi and Celeni at Tottenham a couple of seasons back being sent off by Stuart Attwell as a result of a confrontation between the two benches, and as with sunday,I was at that game too

Sunday League standard at best. With a half decent ref Crawley should had finished with 8 players instead of 10.Also very slow at responding to injured players,ok we all know some make a meal of things, but what if it had been a head injury for instance?

Don't think there's been a match all season where he hasn't  been involved in some controversy

Sadly applies to his whole career, not just this season!

I only saw the second half and it was Emily.

I was at the game,Amy was the appointed ref,but got injured in first half,so Emily took over from half time
