Well I needing have posted as Mr Marsden another bad game, missed an obvious red card for me but yellow was given. At some point I felt he couldn’t control the game for both teams he seems very indecisive on handing cards out wonder how he got marked but the assessor in attendance

Was looking forward to seeing Mr Drysdale but never worked out seen him warm up and then just before kick off PA came on Asked for a qualified referee a Southend Fan came forward to do the boards which meant FO Richard Carter Become the man in the middle he was very good fair and got most calls spot on I think Darren had a back injury from away club officials that were in the away end best wishes to Darren

Another solid performance from Aaron at Solihull correctly given home side a penalty for hand ball from corner player jumped up clearly had ball and given and I seen it from the away end and called it straight happy with his no nonsense to cheap little fouls too

Was pretty hopeful for our referee at Gateshead today but seem to never have control of the game and miss a clear cut trip the Gateshead winger and booked him for simulation personally I seen it live and was convinced it was a penalty but was never given by Matthew Mcquillan, I seem to recall he didn’t have the best game at the start of last season either, has anybody else come across him too
