By far the most inconsistent performance I have seen from a SG2 referee in some time ..

Guessing fouls, then lets things go, players, fans, managers all getting frustrated at the indecisions

A referee that is heavily reliant on VAR as has been proven. Definitely let down my assistant for what should have been the penalty.

There will be no consequences so he will have his VAR shield next match.

Wasn’t at the game myself today, but I’ve also heard that it was a poor and inconsistent officiating (for both sides) and people were surprised when I’d mentioned he’d done a few Premier League games!!

On a side note it’s (coincidentally) 5 games now that Derby have lost with Josh Smith in charge, so hopefully we don’t see him again 🤣
