Now i have thawed out from the match which finished 3-3 and Newcastle won on penalties.

I'm not a fan of Thomas style, he appears to be one of the new breed of referees who seems a bit robotic.

First half he seemed to leave his cards in the changing rooms in the first half and both sides should have had a yellow each side.

Correctly penalised Ramsdale for holding the ball more than 8? seconds and gave a Bournemouth corner.

Seemed to miss quite a few fouls from where i was sitting so not sure if he had areally high bar or just didn't think they were fouls

Also wore yellow for bmb ;)

Independent panel said Madley got penalty call on Gordon wrong 3-2 but said VAR was right not to get involved 3-2

I can't see Michael Salisbury ever refereeing Preston North End over the last 10 seasons, as that's where he is from i think, sounds like he could potentially be a PNE fan?

Tom Bramall has never officiated either Sheffield Utd or Sheffield Wednesday so maybe safe to say he supports one of these

Wonder if Taylor & Harrington will bother claiming mileage  :)

Taylor - Altringham to Old Trafford - 30 mins
Harrington - Hartlepool to Sunderland - 35 mins

Good first half from Madley, correctly booked the cheslea keeper for charging out and having a go at him plus booked another Garnacho too

edit: Gousto joins them in the book, also for dissent, Chelsea losing their heads a bit

Bankes had a SOAT failure on a very tight offside for Newcastle's 2nd which was given after what must have been around 3-4 minutes

Wearing yellow for good measure

That's actually a really good VAR intervention IMO, wasn't convinced on first viewing but he has had a sustained hold on him and after the header is flicked on, stops him from playing the ball

Let a lot go (could have been card happy) but it seems to have worked for him, seems like he had the respect of the players and they didn't take the pee.

1st yellow in stoppage time for Oscar Bobb, followed by a Joelinton tactical short pull to SPA (good tactical foul from NUFC pov though)

O'Hara was a very average footballer and seems to be an even worse pundit.

We referees are better than comments like this! bmb

The whole situation is farcical.

I take every judgement that the KMI makes with an enormous pinch of salt.

Considering the KMI panel is made up of generally ex players and managers who are uneducated on the LOTG it take i with a huge pinch of salt

Footballers arn't known for being intelligent anyway tbf  ;D

Asian Massey-Ellis, measured and calm and got the right decision.

An unfortunate auto correct for Sian Massey, definetly a straight red

Standard rubbish from Attwell as usual

Brentford 1st penalty shout, Attwell gives a YC for simulation when was probably a penalty

Brentford 2nd penalty shout don't think there was much contact at all, ATtwell gives it and VAR confirms, Burn had to go once penalty was given as was already on a yellow so that was correct

Shocking decision from Howe not to Sub Burn after the first pen shout like as he's had a mare and was on a yellow

Hopefully will be ok for the rearranged match

Once bitten and all that

Does getting the slightest touch on the ball now mean it isn't a foul? If so how come there was a foul given in the middle of the pitch where the west ham player has clearly played the ball

Clearly played the ball before he even touched the man so it definitely wasn't a foul, although real time i thought it was a pen until i saw the replay
