The answer is in this season’s LOTG, guidance section:

Where the goal line can be checked for goalkeeper encroachment and goal/no goal through the use of technology (e.g. GLT, the VAR system), it is recommended that the assistant referee be positioned on the touchline, in line with the penalty mark (which is the offside line), as being on the goal line creates a risk that they may not be able to get back into a position to judge offside if the kick rebounds.

It should be an IDFK unless the goalkeeper has attempted to kick it back into play (i.e. cleared it) and miskicks it

That’s just simply not offside.

Whilst the defender is stretching a little to cut the ball out, he is unchallenged when he does so and it then falls to a completely different player who is not and never was in an offside position.

Sam Allison is SG2. Through the Development Group he was realign to SG2 the start of the season (along with others)

Except that Haaland is offside coming back from the original pass forward and challenges an opponent before they turn to run into the penalty area.

But then again, don’t let things that happen on the pitch cloud that view through blue tinted specs.
