My grandfather was a referee, I'm assuming between the wars. He was from Chesterfield, Harry Eyre, born 1892. He was in the army until 1919. His dad William Henry Eyre was Vice President of Chesterfield in 1899 when they were admitted to the Football League. How can I find out more details of the games he was involved in? My uncle said he ran the line in an FA cup semi final.
Any database links or any old records would be a great help.
