Candidates to replace him (Ruchira Palliyagure) on the International Panel:
Interestingly, unlike other countries, they haven't found a favorite candidate.

Some candidates for me are:

• Ravindra Kottahachchi;

• Chandrika Amarasinghe;

• Shantha Fonseka;

• Hemantha Boteju;

• Chamara De Zoysa

It's also worth noting that the Sri Lankan international women's panel has good female umpires, Nimali Pereira and Dedunu de Silva, which means there are fewer opportunities for national umpires to be tested in international women's matches. Before the ICC consolidated a regular international women's panel, it was a good opportunity for candidates to be evaluated at an international level.

With Brathwaite's retirement, the main candidates to replace him on the international panel are Christopher Wright, Chris Taylor, Shannon Crawford, Ryan Banwaire, and Lyndon Rajkumar. I considered factors such as age and experience officiating women's and youth national team matches.
