Hi, Richard here. Was a ref in the Cambridge area in the '70s - only reached Class 3 as I couldn't officiate on Saturdays, so did most of my stuff on Sundays (Cambs & District Sunday League - but did a lot of Div 1 games).
Taught by Cyril Pegg; ran the line on a number of occasions for Roger Pauley and a number of other names I've seen on here in a quick browse (never even knew about the forum until today).
Best claim-to-fame: I was asked to run the line for a Divisional TA cup final - I was told it was unheard of for non-military to be asked, so felt quite honoured(!) I remember offering to drive home (the ref's car) as he was absolutely plastered! Thankfully he accepted!! (can't remember his name now)

Welcome Richard ;D
Any questions just ask, although I should forewarn you the seriousness of answers supplied can be of vastly varying degrees ;)

Welcome to the site Richard. It's always nice to have new blood come to the site.
