MOTD goes to SG1 David Coote at Leeds v Sheffield United. Massive game too for Robert Jones at the bottom of the Championship, Wigan v Bolton.

Villa get Woolmer as fourth official twice in three days.

I would be happy to have Woolmer as 4th official in every match. The corollary is worth the slight risk of an injury.

Seen the Wigan v Bolton game yesterday, and once again thought Robert Jones used common sense and safe refereeing to safely navigate another high profile derby. This time with only one caution. He has the trust of the players and looks easily ready to take the next step now.

I had seen small parts of the TV game last weekend at Norwich and thought he looked very comfortable there too. He should be an absolute no brainer to join the ranks of SG1...

I think that's right but hope that doesn't mean he won't make it.  I would have hoped he would have had a trial by now although the high profile games he has been getting are probably more testing than the 'nothing resting on it' trial game(s) he might have had in the Prem.
