Title: Darren England - Stoke v Derby
Post by: Mackem ref on Wed 28 Nov 2018 20:37
Just switched the tv on at the perfect time to see some excellent teamwork from England and his assistant to correctly punish a very nasty challenge with a red card. Not sure which assistant it was but fantastic example of trusting his assistant and managing the situation to get the correct outcome!

He has been excellent so far. Correctly didn't give a Penalty, and a Red for a Horrid tackle. Good work from the Assistant also for noticing the foul.

Looks likes an  allegation that Joe Allen had a nibble at a Derby player... given the teeth marks on said Derby players' neck. The FA might be on the blower to Stoke today methinks!

Definite red for the leg breaker on Keogh and the handbags after was very messy.

It was James Mainwaring on the far side. He seems to be getting some good tv appointments in recent times.

Having watched the replay from the Joe Allen incident it also show Bradley Johnson having Allen's shirt in his mouth. So possibly both maybe guilty. I thought the officials had a good game last night with a few incidents to deal with.

Didn't realise that Joe Allen was also biting, it only concentrated on Brad Johnson taking a nibble out of his neck this morning on SKY. !

Johnson has been charged with VC with a potential four game ban for his nibble. No charges against Joe Allen surprisingly.

Johnson banner for 5 games following his nibble... and deservedly so.
