Title: PAR European Competition Rules
Post by: Mackem ref on Tue 10 Aug 2021 16:09
I am delighted to announce the appointment of anje-roo to oversee this season's European PAR competition. They did a fantastic job during the recent PAR Euros and I felt it was only fair to offer the cahnce for them to get involved with the regular season competition also. There is no need to sign up for this competition, just watch out for anje-roo posting the games to predict and have fun joining in. Whilst I am only taking part as a participant, you can still feel free to PM me or anje-roo with any qiestions regarding the competition. Please see message from anje-roo below:

European Competition

Each European Match Week in the qualifying rounds, there will be the opportunity to predict

(a) referees for the British clubs in the Champions League,  Europa League and Conference League matches. The point scoring system will be 10 points for a correct prediction & 5 points if the prediction is the wrong referee but the right country.
(b) matches for the British referees in the Champions League, Europa League & Conference League matches. The point scoring system will be 10 points for a correct match, 5 points if the prediction is the wrong match in the right group & 1 point if the prediction is the wrong match but the right competition.

Once the qualifying rounds are over, the European PAR competition will adopt a mixture of Riley & Rosetti rules (they'll be varied as the season progresses) and may include FOs and VARs assuming that Wenger hasn't replaced them with computers/robots.
