Great start to the season for Bond - Yorkshire derby in EFL cup followed by opening the season! A decent spread of appointments to start the season, and pleased they are exclusively SG2!
Also, I hope this is not indicative of Howson’s new team now Brooks has been promoted. Howson seems to be one of the best ARs yet is constantly overlooked for promotion 🤔

I have been saying for the past 18 months that Howson is the best AR on SG2 as should be promoted I can only assume it’s his own choice not to go on SG1

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe that Alan Clayton and Hristo Karaivanov are SG2 assistants.

In days gone by there used to be changes as appointments were made before last round of fitness tests but would assume all original appointees had passed tests. So unless there were late fitness doubts I'd have to agree with TVOS and suggest the pingdemic has "cost" some their starting place.

I was hoping after watching the opening game on Friday night that there was actually a directive to the officials to be a bit more lenient on soft fouls, similar to how the Euros was officiated.
If there was a directive, old man Woolmer wasn’t listening. He managed to annoy both managers who ended up with a booking each and gave 25 fouls during what was a not overly dirty game, 18 of which fell in favour of the away side. Just whistle happy… and completely typical of recent visits.

Robinson was poor at Brammall Lane last night. Missed a clear penalty and was far too card happy.
He even got the spray out to mark out a distance from a throw in which I’ve never seen before!!

Not sure Woolmer saw the handball, think JJ "gave" that from the bench. Seemed like a large collection of spoilt children jumping up and down on the sideline, Peterborough for the decision and Luton for the sanction. Not the best of adverts all round.

Certainly not defending Jones and Ferguson for their actions, but when he gives the foul for handball, he has to send him off? He would’ve been clean through on goal.

Not sure what game TheThingfromLewes was watching,Why was it a clear penalty? Are you a qualified referee? We have new rules covering handball this season.I know that had it been 20/21 season, then he would have given a penalty.
