Title: Subterranean - often in name alone. For lovers of TfL.

With a few days' hiatus before the Euros, here is another silly quizzle for the odd few who might be interested - and you would have to be pretty odd.


  1. Clydesdale or Barclay's
  2. Or the route to Lloyd's?
  3. A light blue one in Islington will cost £100.
  4. Geriatric thoroughfare.
  5. Twice losers in successive FA Cup finals.
  6. Does wonders for the sale of marmalade.
  7. Brother of David and Elizabeth and twin of Shula.

  9. Transferred from Exeter or Newcastle?
10. Or from Reading?
11. Cavalier? Victor?
12. Whence to obtain the best panorama of York?
13. Where to sit like Patience.
14. Over the Forth?

Tower Hill may well be a good answer for 12, but, with the stress on the wrong syllable and an imaginary Yorkshire glottal stop, I was thinking of somewhere else. Beverley, Halifax, Doncaster and Rotherham might also have been candidates.
