I was wondering if Graham Salisbury at Wigan is a potential swansong with his son being appointed as fourth official. He's already done two Wigan homes this season - they lost them both 5-0!
Breakspear and Hicks might as well share a car to the Lancashire coast!

In League 2, Nield, Madley and Hicks have the battle for automatic promotion, while Toner, Stockbridge, Drysdale, Bell and Brooks have matches significant to the battle for play off spots.

He might have been "well remunerated" for his years on the Football League (although there is an argument that his "hourly rate" is not that high, given the commitment) but my guess is that he has ploughed is way through quite a few seasons of parks football, semi-pro football and attended numerous training meetings, association meetings and other mandatory meetings. 99.99% of referees could look the RA's motto in the eye and my guess is that he is not part of the 0.01% who could not.

It is certainly a way of getting around the covid restrictions by ensuring that a family member can be present to witness the end of his twenty year career. I don't blame him for that.

The game completely changed on 66 minutes, after the disputed sending-off of Wigan centre-back Curtis Tilt following a tangle with Tyler Smith came with the Latics leading 3-1 and in total control.
