Grandad Woolmer back at Bournemouth again....
Woolmer had a stinker at Barnsley the other night. Not that there's anything new there.

This was me reporting on David Webb two weeks ago:
"The red card issued by David Webb to Lerma of AFC Bournemouth seemed harsh to put it mildly. It seemed to me that a Luton player knocked into Lerma as they both went up for the ball and Lerma's hand then caught the opponent's face quite accidentally as a result. I am apparently not the only one who thought that Webb made the wrong call here. If only VAR had been available. IMO the card needs to be rescinded".
The red card was rescinded.
Last weekend, David Webb came off his game for unknown reasons.
Yesterday, the decision by David to award Brentford a penalty v Wycombe was a disgrace, coming after a Wycombe player cleared the ball from his penalty area and a Brentford happened to be in the way and went down. OK, it didn't make any difference to the final result but the score was 3-2 to Brentford at the time and Wycombe had twice come from behind.
I've nothing against David who I think is normally one of the better SG2 refs, but he does seem to be going through a rocky patch at the moment, and I hope for his sake that we shall see better before long.

AFCB looking for another manager. Eddie to return? bmb ::)
My heart is breaking for Jas today. I've known him 22 years, he's one of the sweetest people around. He & his beautiful wife have always been 'aunty' & 'uncle' to bmb jr and are loving, stable role models in his life. Jas was the first person, outside of myself & the late Mr bmb to hold bmb jr the day he was born & there has been a special bond between them since. It is a very sad day in the bmb household.
As much as I love Eddie, I hope we do not go after him again, the expectation and pressure on him would be huge. His prior achievements can never be replicated, let him remain the legend that he is at AFCB. A huge part of his success was Jas as his #2 which should not be forgotten either. I think we need someone from outside of the club, we've always appointed managers from within or ex players so maybe now is the time to look outside of Darsetshire.

Haven't you got a newly appointed assistant, Jonathan Woodgate, he did a good job at Middlesborough ;D

Please just no! I've looked at the bookies list & there is not a single name that inspires me!! Well actually Steve Robinson would be good but he's another ex player!

Lampard near the top... Pulis not on it surprising - I have survived one Pulis era! Woodgate seems to be the bookies favourite followed by Lampard. Makes me wonder if Woodgate was brought in ready for the role.

Speaking as a Wednesday fan, we have had all kinds of names at the top of the betting odds since Pulis was sacked. Woodgate, Roy Keane, Vladimir Ivic, Sven-Goran Eriksson, Nigel Pearson (even though he has openly said he would never manage Wednesday), Darren Moore, Paul Cook, Joey Barton, and so on. It is nothing more than speculation, someone lumps £20 or so on someone and it is such an underused market that person goes from not even being listed on the odds to odds on favourite.
Bournemouth are a good club and deserve a good manager, not one of these journeymen who always crop up when a manager is sacked. Just avoid Jos Luhukay, Garry Monk and Tony Pulis speaking from personal experience :)
