Post by: RCG on Sun 22 Aug 2021 13:54: Having watched highlights I think Mr Ward would have been well within his rights to have issued 2 red cards. The first when QPR were "away" the tackle/foul not only was nowhere near the ball, was cynical/malicious and a lot higher than a standard challenge. To me serious foul play or even as a deliberate kick, violent conduct.
The second was a sliding lunge, all 6 studs into opponents ankle area, IMHO endangering the safety of his opponent.

Can understand the trust sown in Eltringham. But Ward, Langford and Davies??? I reserve judgement.

Post by: greeny on Mon 16 Aug 2021 16:08: First round of the season where SG1 are used with Harrington and Salisbury out on decent matches. Ward and Eltringham are on TV matches. I think this is Andrew Dallison's first match as an SG2 assistant in the Championship.
