Brave indeed of Norman to intervene in a dispute between Bremner and Mckay.  I hadn't  heard about the episode between Speight and Hatton but he did come off worst at the hands of Millwall fans when Villa had the temerity to win at The Den. I am not sure if he wasn't  knocked unconscious at the end of the game but the unseemly episode did nothing to enhance the reputation of the so called fans of the East London side.
