Sorry to hear this. A diminutive and fairly round man, I recall him best for allowing a super advantage at (?) Everton following which a goal of the season was scored. I believe he achieved his aim of refereeing England at Wembley shortly before he retired. RIP Gwyn.

An excellent, underrated ref who I seem to recall only had a short time on the league list (5 or 6 years?) but was also a Welsh FIFA ref at the same time. Always seemed to show great empathy with the game and was never the centre of attention.
Also had the bonus of living on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey!
