Would the Richardson brothers, peter and derek be in that era? Or maybe they had progressed to middles by then.

Terry Johnson from Gainsborough and Tom Hill from Lincoln maybe these two were slightly later but i remember them being on the list at the the same as Derek Bray from Holton-Le-Clay near Grimsby.
I remember Derek assessing the game officials in the lincs league on his weekend off
Late 70’s / early 80’s.

that is the complete list of linesmen for that season

The two Richardson's from Lincoln were both full refs by then
They both lived in LN6 but I am unsure that they were brothers?
I have Peter moving there from Wellingborough when young
to where Derrick (note spelling) already was

Tom Hill was later, see the 85-6 list
Terry Johnson was probably later too but had left by 85-6

Thanks john for the info
You may be right about the richardson’s i did meet them in lincoln
At an inter lincs ra quiz night as with Tom Hill.
Terry Johnson used to be landlord of a pub quite close to Gainsborough Trinity Fc so referees often called in there after a game.

I ought to know the names of the Surrey referees but they elude me for the moment. However, I will make some enquiries and come back on this if I hear anything.
