Any chance someone has the same information for the Scottish League Cup (Scottish Cup and Junior Cup would also be good)? Or can someone suggest where this information can be found?

Yes indeed, thank you for this very interesting information.

What strikes me is the fact that some referees received the honour of officiating at both FA Cup and League Cup Finals whereas some received only one. Since 2001 only Halsey, Friend and Pawson have refereed only the League Cup Final and the latter two still have a good chance of the FA Cup Final also. Most surprising to me is that Brian Hill, who many people regarded as one of the very, very best of his generation did receive the FA Cup Final but not the League Cup Final. I find the latter omission strange.

I think Mike Reed was unfortunate to get neither as indeed was John Gow.

 George Courtney, Jin Finney and David Smith were appointed to the same major Final twice. I don't think this ever happened with the FA Cup and I don't believe it would happen now.

Jack Taylor receive the League Cup Final a full decade after the FA Cup Final. I wonder why the wait?

The fact that George Courtney was appointed twice was odd. Also Stuart Burt got two line appointments and Kevin Friend was appointed 4O after having refereed the Final. As for Finney and Smith, it's fair to say the League Cup Final became much more prestigious after it moved to Wembley, so I can understand those appointments.

I was doing some reading, is it also true that at the time Tony was ineligible to be promoted to Premier league group due to his age?
