I have a French referee for 1961 but it is Marcel Le Quesne, he had French lines too - A. Carette and Raymond Poncin
They wore red shirts with blue shorts and the match ball was lemon

Scottish refs controlled Scotland v England in Scotland 1872-1882, 1892 and lastly 1898 when Tom Robertson did it
Robertson was also the first south of border in 1907, others followed in 1913, Tom Dougray then did four in a row 1920-26,
with another Scot in 1928 and finally George Mitchell in 1951

Red, blue and lemon. Shouldn’t Mr Carette have been wearing orange? 😄
