to all my fellow members

during my working shift on Wednesday 3rd august I got into a heated discussion with my fellow colleague this resulted in flem(develops due to being worked up and stressed )coming out and landing on my colleagues vest
I am now being accused of spitting which I am not and this has affected me emotionally and physically and im not that kind of person
I am not returning to my current place of work and will look for something else when this has been resolved
I will continue to post when possible and your support will be gratefully appreciated at this most difficult time

many thanks

Really sorry to hear this has happened to you, have you tried explaining to your work place, that you got worked up and it was unintentional?

So sorry this has happened. Do you have a union rep or supervisor that can help you to write a statement about what happened? If not I can help you write one. Even if you choose not to go back, it would still clear your name regarding intent.

Sending hugs.

thank you all for your kind responses things have moved quickly so will try and explain as best as possible

with the help of my dad we sent a letter to the company's hq and depot in the meantime I was summoned through a letter to attend a disciplinary investigation via my dad a statement from me was sent but the way I was treated and it was all done was wrong and my dad was thinking of going down the tribunal route away from this my brother got in touch with the independence trust and spoke to a nice kind woman by the name of Pippa
anyway Pippa spoke to my dad and she mailed me with a general introduction to her role we are due to meet her after she comes back off leave on 31st meanwhile the company's manager has phoned my dad and is not best pleased into how I was treated and the disciplinary hearing wont take place due to me currently off sick but he wants to meet up with me at a neutral location for a chat about returning to the workplace or the suggestion of being somewhere else in the same area of work
so I'm at a crossroads at the moment but have made a list of what I could do instead but the independence trust will support me if I change jobs and will include training
I will update again with further news when possible

latest update
a few weeks ago my dad had a phone call from the company's 2nd in command- massive apologies for putting me in the position that I was in but due to being off with this then resulting in infection the disciplinary investigation has been suspended and my statement now not part of it either
however he did want to meet me at a site he sometimes runs which I did yesterday from this he has said that the investigation will continue to be looked at and the outcome being in many of these cases "a slap on the wrist"
so I have a choice of going to this site or returning to workplace but that will be decided once my infection clears which has not yet so will be poss be signed off tomorrow for another week
thanks again to all you ratetheref members for your support and will update you again when possible

update to fellow members

after a 9 week absence due to stress and leg abcess I returned to work last week(Monday)at midday I was summoned to attend a discussion outlining the opening of the disciplinary hearing regarding the alleged spitting incident on 9th august
it has been decided following the discussion and receiving a disciplinary letter that my version of events will be heard on Thursday at 2pm my dad has done a well documented transcript of the goings on and describing how due to my autism Its impossible to me to do the alleged offence
this will be presented and hopefully we should get a result fri/mon which is either not enough evidence no case to answer a written warning or the boot any result and I'm then poss going to the docs to be signed off with stress poss then appeal if I'm so say guilty and get a warning
the support from my fellow ratetheref members is appreciated very much
