What a rarity - an enjoyable TV game!

A superb display of character and determination from the home side, very well refereed by Jana Adámková. For once my interest was maintained throughout. Congratulations to Northern Ireland's women on their qualification for the Euros next year!

I wholeheartedly agree. A smashing team performance from the Northern Irish ladies who worked their socks of to get the result.
I thought that the officials were excellent and kept control of the match very well.
There was quite a difference in the two goalkeepers with the Ukraine keeper always looking a bit suspect, however, the Irish keeper's handling was top class and she commanded her area very well.
Well done and good luck when they play in the tournament.
Referee's decision used to be final!

A terrific performance to consolidate their achievement in the first leg. Commitment, skill, organisation and an absence of histrionics and moaning. I particularly enjoyed the demonstration of how to celebrate while standing on crutches!
Let's hope they do well against the 'big' teams at the finals.

Having said that I enjoyed the game, I forgot to mention the crazy incident at the end which I thought was really bizarre with Ukraine's Pantsulaya bing sent off for wiping out McFadden when she had absolutely no need to do what she did. I can only surmise that it was a wanton act borne out of frustration, however, that sort of incident has no place in the game ----even in the old days it would have been regarded as cynical to the extreme.
