Well according to match of the day last night they asked if you would like VAR to continue out of 250,000 votes a staggering but not surprising 70% said they want rid of it
It has become farcical now especially for Bamfords disallowed goal I would expect Mike Dean to get that correct people have defended VAR to give it time but that time has not proved to be used to improve its efficiency sadly it has gone the other way
Mike Dean did get it correct...
I think there's zero chance of VAR being scrapped. It's one thing to have a twitter poll on the day of controversy but we see it often said during Europa League, nations League etc. 'Why isn't there VAR?'
There was a survey of EFL supporters a while back where a clear majority wanted VAR introduced.
I do agree that there are clearly some improvements needed - in many cases with the laws rather than anything else. Mic the officials up, speed up/change the process of judging offside, come to a better consensus on handball, and filter out the VARs not up to the job.
