Stuart Attwell, Newcastle v Palace
« on: Sun 07 Apr 2019 20:44 »
My first sighting of Stuart since he came to Gresty Road a few seasons back and was roundly booed by the Donnies fans before the start!

As always at Newcastle, the away fans were tucked away high up at one end of the ground and involving a climb up countless flights of stairs to get there. It was therefore difficult to see clearly some of the major incidents of the game, particularly when the mist started to roll in during the 2nd half. MOTD highlights suggested that Attwell and his team got it right disallowing goals to either side in the first half, and Attwell was right to award the Palace their winning penalty after Zaha went to ground (yet again). Couple of potential advantages missed but all-in-all, I thought Stuart and his team had a decent game. And the Palace march on, so a good day for the travelling faithful  ;D
