The ball was on the far side of the Liverpool player so the 'correct' foot was used to play the ball and clear it out for a throw. As your photo shows the contact is then with (if any part) the groin on the standing leg and natural momentum twisted the players. If that is a foul (let alone a YC or RC) then Netball will soon have more contact than football!!
