Absolutely no place for it in football (or life in general for that matter). What disturbs me further is some of the comments on social media such as "officials need to man up", "why shouldn't I shout abuse? I've paid my money" and "it's football". With attitudes like those prevailing, it's going to be a long uphill climb to eradicate the problem.

If you are disturbed by things you read on social media, I suggest you give it a miss.

Perhaps I should have said concerned rather than disturbed and yes, I am concerned by fans who think making such comments at a match is part and parcel of football and acceptable behaviour, nemesis. I would hope that many people would be concerned too.
