Positive spin on VAR for once….. exactly how it should be used.

Quick, decisive and correct for Salah’s goal.

I have to say though it was a poor flag from Cook on this side.

I have to say though it was a poor flag from Cook on this side.

The defender that plays him onside is on the far side of the pitch. Salah would likely have obscured him completely, and the decision needed to be made at speed. It was also marginal.

Yes, he’ll be disappointed, but it wasn’t an awful decision.
