Robert Jones - Wolves vs Man Utd

Didn't think that Mr Jones had his best game. Was very inconsistent with his foul detection and distribution of yellow cards. Because of this, he ended up having to give more yellows towards the end of the game and there were a lot of tackles flying in which should have been punished. Also, only 5 minutes added on isn't correct as the Wolves player was down for a good 3-4 minutes plus the subs so should have been more like 7-8 than 5. On a different note, an excellent intervention by the VAR Darren England to disallow Rashford's second goal for handball. Was very clear that it had touched his hand and didn't take to long to overturn. Howard Webb's influence is starting to show in the last couple of games with quick VAR interventions.

I thought he did quite well. No major errors and thought his decision making was good. The disallowed goal is why we have VAR. Timekeeping at the end not great again though 😡

Disappointed with timekeeping once again. I wasn't expecting 10 minutes to suddenly be routinely added on but things like adding appropriate time on for a specific stoppage and adding additional time for subs in stoppage time should be basics after the WC.

Was the VAR decision for the disallowed goal really any quicker with Howard Webb now in charge than it would have been previously?

It was quite quick to be fair. They've gathered the habit of messing around for 2 or 3 minutes when making decisions before the WC. I'm happy with them taking time as long as its not ridiculous and they get the right

Other than the timekeeping issue I thought Rob was OK .
Nothing worthy of a newspaper headline
