Well being such a dire game I am glad to report that at least the third team performed well. It was a quite easy game for the officials.

Good foul detection with a consistent line throughout, somewhat strict perhaps but not overly so quite simply refereed in that sense - he just blew for the fouls that presented themselves, he didn't look to be clever, let some go to try and add flow nor did he suffocate the game by over imposing himself in this regard. In every game a referee will make incorrect foul/no foul calls however as I saw it he kept these mistakes to an absolute minimum (I only spotted 2/3).

Fitness and positioning looked strong throughout, good proximity to play allowed for a quick presence at any potential flashpoints (there weren't really any).

Cards issued all looked correct (I missed the first one due to TV issues) there was a point in the first half with three in relatively quick succession, all were correct and the referee responded to the rise in temperature appropriately. I don't think he missed any cards to my eye.

AR1 made a good offside call when we were through on goal in the last minutes, clear enough but it was the crucial decision for him and he got it right.

Overall Mr. Visser was calm, collected and managed this game with ease. The difficulty was never too challenging for him although one got the sense that he would be able to cope with any rise in game temperature if he needed to. For me this was an 8.4 performance in an easy game.

I'd be interested to know if others who are more knowledgeable about matters European could comment on how UEFA seem to regard Mr.Visser, at 30 years old and already in the 1st category, based only on this performance in an easy game - I think he could have some potential to climb higher.
