I have never met Bobby Madley but he has often taken his time out to assist other young referees, particularly at a few tournaments abroad. Those that have engaged with him have nothing but praise for him.

Regards his suspension, speaking as someone who is disabled, I think the punishment was far more than required and not proportionate. That said, he has served his punishment and I think his promotion can only help SG2 as a group.

His move to Norway was indeed personal and he was not employed by the PGMOL at the time so I think it is irrelevant to his promotion.

I wish both him and James Bell every success moving on.
