Mr Kinseley was never a popular figure with our learn’d Ipswich fans who frequent this forum!

Surprised Matt Foley is no longer on the list seemed like a very good assistant on the occasions I saw him on the line and could have gone to the top

That must have been for Mr Kinseley's efforts elsewhere as he never made it beyond board duties during his FL refereeing career at Portman Road.  He must have made several AR appearances though.

National List of referees has been posted for this season - https://www.efl.com/clubs-and-competitions/match-officials/national-list-of-referees/

Confirms Bobby Madley is back.

Not sure of any retirements apart from those already known about?

Looks like Nick Kinseley has gone!

The four referees no longer on the list from last season are Graham Horwood, Eddie Ilderton, Nick Kinseley and Paul Marsden. We knew that the first two had retired. We'll find out eventually (when 2A appointments start to come out) whether the other two are demotions or retirements.

After Paul Marsden's performance at Rochdale v Gillingham in January, I know what my money is on!

Quick reminder; not a penalty, apparently: https://twitter.com/MJPhippsy/status/1221115097407479815

I was one row out there.  Duncan Street was the missing name not Craig Taylor.

I've just seen that Mr Marsden is on the boards at Crewe today, so it looks like he's back at 2A.

Whenever I've seen him he hasn't looked in control of the game.

Marsden was poor at Conference North level and was surprised how fast he got promoted into the FL in the first place.

Cheryl Foster is a fantastic referee. Have watched her a few times & she has been consistently excellent. Really happy for her.

After the Super Cup last August, do we think we will see any female officials refereeing UEFA men's football on a regular basis any time soon or will they concentrate on the women's club matches?

I don't think that we will see female officials very soon refereeing men's matches on a regular basis. The Frappart phenomenon was a first attempt and worked but I don't think that UEFA will take such a risk considering the fact that there aren't many women refereeing on the top of their league.

Country FAs largely at fault there. Lots of excellent women referees fully capable of refereeing in the top flight in their domestic leagues on merit alone but Country FA's seem reluctant to promote them. I acknowledge that there are also many who are not good enough to referee in their domestic top flights but those who are should be given the chance and not in a token PC way, judge them on their merit and not their sex.

Do you find that now a lot of female officials go down the lining route? There are some excellent role models for them in this country, eg Sian Massey-Ellis and Helen Edwards. They'd have to look abroad for female referees who were doing middles at a high level.
A lot of time was invested in Amy Fearn (nee Rayner) - she seems to have gone off the radar. It appeared her lack of progression was justified?
