I think I've read (almost certainly somewhere on here) that Graham Grainger and Matthew MacDermid have been promoted to Category 1 referees.
I don't know if anyone has gone off the list  or about promotions to the 1D list.

Hopefully someone with more Scots knowledge than me may be able to help out.

Are we likely to hear about FL promotions this week now that the National League has officially finished?

It's a bit surprising there hasn't been any announcement about retiring SG1 officials. We know Andy Garratt is stopping, although I suppose they made an announcement about that two years ago!

I wonder if no one else is stopping or if their communication is just even worse than normal!

Mike Dean did a talk at the Gloucestershire FA recently and said his favourite ground was the Emirates... he had Arsenal at the end of last season so perhaps that was his swansong?

The Times yesterday said that the promotions for referees would be announced mid-August and that Sam Allison is likely to become the first black National List referee since Uriah Rennie.

Any news on Premier League promotions?

Jones?
Gillett?
Eltingham?
England?

Too soon for Brooks?

Would they take four officials?

At the moment, we only know of 1 place being available as Lee Probert stepped down at the start of the season.

We've not heard of any other retirements as of yet.

Three referees had trial games last season (Jones, England, Robinson) so there might be more than one promoted but I'd be very surprised if it was four.

I think Jones will be promoted and perhaps one other, unles there are multiple retirements we don't know about.

So fixtures are released in the next week and we are less than one month away from the start of the season and we still don't know any promotions?  Seems very odd to me, the season finished a few weeks ago.

Last year Bankes and Madley's promotions were announced on 12 June, so quite a few weeks after the domestic season had finished.

The FA Cup final, National League play-off final and Championship play-off final were all in the last two weeks. Obviously it's a much shorter summer break than normal but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough!
