Interesting situation when Bamford was going round the keeper which would have given him a clear attempt on goal. There was contact between the keeper and Bamford who stumbled but did his best to keep on his feet. The goal scoring opportunity had gone. It seemed that if Bamford went down a penalty would have been given. The commentators and pundits after the match all agreed this. It should have been a penalty. Bamford was punished for being honest. He said after the match this was why players were diving. Very surprised that neither the referee or VAR thought it was a penalty. They were Bankes and Coote,!!!   Incidents like this should be penalised or moire and more players are going to dive.

Agreed mentioned Bankes on another thread - this decision was many strange decisions throughout the evening...
