Oxford v Bolton - Seb Stockbridge
« on: Sun 16 Apr 2023 20:11 »
Saw this and wondered peoples thoughts.

Keeper takes out striker, no attempt to play ball, Stockbridge gives yellow

Ball was maybe heading diagonally away from goal but not with loads of pace, there was a defender but wont have prevented a shot at goal.

Is the keeper trying to head the ball? In any event he fails and takes out the forward, also surprised it's not a RC,

Goalkeeper's reaction gives it away - he was fully expecting a red. I agree it could be SFP but strong DOGSO claim too - attacker would have retained possession and would've had just one defender to shoot past with the keeper out of the equation.

Red all day. The crazy thing is if the keeper had dived out and punched the ball he'd have been off so how he stayed on is beyond belief.
If Black and White is so brilliant why do most of us have colour tellies

Love to know what the assistant said to him because for me it’s red all day long
