At least when most of us do something silly like that we have 1 man and his dog watching!
Hajrá Lilák. Csak a Kispest. Hajrá Magyarok! Hajrá játékvezetői csapat! Soha ne add fel. Nincs sárga kérem!!! No Chris Kavanagh doesn't live in Ashton or even in the Greater Manchester area!!

Not a patch on Crystal Palace (sorry Seagull) v Fulham in 1978 (?) when the referee blew about 6 minutes early with the error only being spotted after the players had all left the pitch. After a few minutes they had to return to play the final 6 minutes. However Seagull, you'll be pleased to know that despite the additional stoppage, Fulham held onto their 1-0 lead to win.

I do recall seeing that on The Big Match on the Sunday. Yes, I'm sure it was 1978. I believe the Referee was Eddie Hughes (Weston-Super-Mare).

Was it not Howard King who once ended a game at Highbury a couple of minutes earlier than he should have in order to catch a train home ?

Clive Thomas admits, in his autobiography, not to ending the game early but to a shortened half-time break for the same reason.  Must be a Welsh thing.
