Nemesis - Hungary top flight yesterday
« on: Sun 16 Dec 2018 13:37 »
Hali's ground (top left) looked as good as it does in spring - they have undersoil heating. Kisvarda (bottom left) not too bad at that point! Paks (bottom right) a slight dusting

The Pancho arena (top right) in perfect condition and not even a hint of snow! Wonder if Mr Orbán's garden 10 feet away was as clear!

Kychak is barking mad! Still in his short sleeved goalie top.

Not sure Kisvarda should have been allowed to wear their white kit, although it makes perfect winter camouflage!

They did find a snowman on the pitch!  ;D

Hajrá Lilák. Csak a Kispest. Hajrá Magyarok! Hajrá játékvezetői csapat! Soha ne add fel. Nincs sárga kérem!!! No Chris Kavanagh doesn't live in Ashton or even in the Greater Manchester area!!

My lilák's ground pre-match! Not sure if Vasas (who are groundsharing with us) game will go ahead today or not!

Oh and just because I can... The lovely Mr. Solymosi wore blue in the emotion derbi & went on to have an excellent game!

The lilák ultras though are even more barking mad than Kychak!

One more game this evening in the NB1 and then the winter break commences.  Roll on 20th Feb, bored of the winter break already!!

But was Gabor Kiraly in his trackie bottoms?  ;D

Totally irrelevant, but I noticed that Anthony Taylor became (I believe) the first PL ref to wear long sleeves this season, and in a lovely shade of yellow as well. Ditto his ARs but then Huddersfield always was a bit parky in winter  :D

The King was indeed in his grey trackie bottoms! 1st time he started a match yesterday in a few weeks. Hali are starting to prepare for life after him (he's not be very good this season to put it mildly!) and have been playing with Rozsa in goal. Király will forever be my fav NT player!! I've not yet accepted his retirement from the NT & have hated every goalie in his place! I mean how dare they!!!

I shall overlook your very unfactual comment that contains lovely + yellow in the same sentence!!!

The MOL Aréna Sóstó in Székesfehérvár, which is the venue for tonight's game should be pretty clear. Tonight is just the 3rd game in it, Vidi were ground sharing with Felcsút at the Pancho until the end of last month & as it's one of the new builds it has undersoil heating.  Vasas game did go ahead despite the state of the Szusza Ferenc Stadion (Lilák's ground in post 2).

Hungarian football at it's finest tonight - prematch, after the National Anthem, we had a priest out in the centre circle blessing the pitch/ground! Seriously, holy water sprinkled & the full works after he had done his blessing!

Home team wore a Christmas kit.

2-1 win for the home team which keeps the gap at the top to just 5. Lot to play for still! Roll on Feb. Oh & a mention for Mr Erdös who I thought was excellent tonight, kept the lid on a match that threatened to boil over many times. Couple of nasty incidents in the match, one where thankfully Kovacs only caught Lovrencsics with his trailing leg, had he caught him with his leading leg, I don't think Lovrencsics would have walked again, let alone played again! As it was he was carted off. Yellow card for the tackle, which was fair enough but there would have been no complaint with red either.  Then Vinicius when trying to clear the ball from going over the line kicked Varga in the head.  I believe it was 100% accidental & not a red, others (mostly Fradi fans) say it was stonewalled and more evidence that they get picked on by refs! We'll ignore Lanzafame's 27 dives in the game like the Fradi fans manage to, while we consider how mean the refs are to them... Varga was inexplicably allowed back on & about 5 mins later was virtually carried off the pitch, clearly had no clue who or where he was & was carted off to hospital!
