Missing Officials
« on: Sun 22 Aug 2021 15:59 »
So after the first few weeks of the season what officials have not yet had games at PL/SG2/FL Level (Both Referee and AR’s)

The referees I can think of are:
Hooper
Young
Huxtable
Johnson

The AR’s are:
Vicars
Holmes

If your referring to SG1 AR Adrian Holmes  he was running the line at Leeds yesterday in their match against Everton

Well of the referees quoted as being missing, I would not be sorry if the second name stays missing for quite a long while. The other three I am always quite content to see refereeing a match which I am watching.

In their first three games of the season Portsmouth had both Kettle and Breakspear. I was wondering which three would make a nap hand, perhaps Deadman?

So after today’s appointments the said officials are still missing. Anyone have any reasons why? Being 6 Referees down is going to hit eventually!

You'd get fairly good odds on that.....

Have you seen the EFL Trophy appointments yet?

There are a lot more officials on the 'missing list' than those listed.

The PGMOL are not currently offering EFL appointments to any official who measured in excess of the stated body fat limit (different depending on your role and level) regardless of whether or not they passed the fitness test.

This may or may not be responsible for some of the absences you mention.

How did the likes of kettle et al pass this then. I can’t think of anyone more “fatter” than Kettle apart from Moss?

He looks a bit more svelte this season!

I saw Jon Moss in his record shop a couple of weeks ago. He's certainly not 'fat'.

Brett Huxtable has a Pizza Trophy game next week, all the way up in Burton, bizarrely.

Surely having a cup competition sponsored by a Pizza firm is not going to help reduce the levels of body fat in match officials  :)

Same lack of coherent thinking as evident in gambling sponsorship.

Is there any record of what the parameters are? Body fat % shows remarkably different physical results on different frames and natural ‘normal’ levels range wildly across different people, so it’s always struck me as a fairly poor indicator of fitness.
