Michael Salisbury Fulham v Sunderland

In my opinion he was almost invisible.

Can't give a greater compliment than that.

Every decision was justified and a scuffle between two opposing players was dealt with a rollicking for both and a request to grow up but nothing more.

The romantic part of me should be critical over the " winning"disallowed goal scored by Sunderland by our fifteen years old midfielder Chris Rigg 😀😀 but the truth is that looking at the footage of course the decision was spot on.

Not long in my opinion before Michael Salisbury is mentioned in the same breath as Michael Oliver.

In total agreement with Robbieg, Salisbury was brilliant. When both sets of fans think the ref was great (very rare!) that must be testament to a top performance. One of the best I’ve seen at The Cottage for a long time 👍🏼

I wholeheartedly agree. Michael Salisbury (Preston) is a first rate referee and you couldn't meet a nicer, more unassuming individual.

Only thing was the shocking onside decision by Matthew Wilkes (I believe he allowed the goal). He was looking at the ball fully not the offside line. He even had a line on the pitch to help. Wilkes was in line with the attacker not the defender. Poor, really poor.

Yes, I wanted to comment on this one, but there really wasn't anything to say. Salisbury was literally anonymous which in this case is the best compliment you can give.

I believe he allowed it to play on then put the flag up once it hit the net, either that or var was as quick as it’s ever been
