Perhaps, just as Keith Waterhouse gave Mrs Pooter the right of reply, we should have Signora Rosetti's opinion on this non-affair.

There was a film made a few years ago, I think called Referee, about referees at one of the Euro Finals. It wasn't on general release but I saw it in one of the London cinemas. It featured the home life of one or two of the referees. Peter Frojdfeldt was one and Roberto Rosetti. I seem to remember that Signora Rosetti was both charming and glamorous and so her contribution would be most welcome.

Reports today that Haaland has also sent a pack to the charity with a signed shirt, several autographed photos and a signed letter.

It was called "The Referee" and happened during Euro 2008. I remember 4 refereees: Busacca, Webb, Frojdfeldt and Rosetti.
