Oh oh, Keith Stroud makes another massive error. Just seen a video off him giving Wimbledon a free kick when it was a good couple of yards in the penalty area!

I wonder if missing the first 2 months of the season played any part, rustiness. Not trying to make excuses - not one of my favourite refs - worth a thought!?

I wonder if missing the first 2 seconds of the clip that show a blatant pull outside the area played any part? Worth a thought?

He even holds up a finger to indicate "first one" to help sell it.......

I agree. I don't think the incident in the penalty area was a penalty anyway, and I believe Keith waited and then gave the free kick when it became obvious that there was no advantage in allowing play to continue (when the attacking player went to ground in the area). I have no problem with that but I don't think Keith helped himself with a lack of visual communication as to what he was doing, and I certainly don't believe that sticking a finger in the air would have helped in this instance.
