J MOSS - Spurs v Man U
« on: Fri 19 Jun 2020 22:23 »
A real mixed bag of liquorice allsorts from Moss. Some really puzzling decisions most notably in the second half, firstly when James was carded after a foul but it looked like he was fouled in the first instance ten or so seconds earlier.

The penalty at the end that he awarded thankfully was overturned by VAR.

Sky Sports punditry this evening .... Roy Keane & Patrice Evra in the studio.  Gary Neville commentating alongside neutral Martin Tyler.  Were Tottenham playing....?  They haven't even focused on the home side apart from a Bergwijn interview!

Like you say TTFL some very bemusing decisions all night as you mention with the James incident.
He spoke to mctominay early on about the persistent fouling but never spoke to Lamela who committed 5 fouls in the first half alone.
The decision for that second penalty - awful. Thank goodness for graham Scott!

Strange performance from Moss - some peculiar decisions throughout, summed up with that second penalty decision that was rightly overturned by VAR.  I guess, like with players, he needs some match practice to get back into form after 3 months off.

He was at a higher level than what we saw tonight.  I certainly do not think he is at a level deserving of the big appointments he seems to get.
