Impressed by this young man last night. Not the most difficult game he will ever referee as both teams were in the mood to just get on and play with very little fuss/playacting etc that all too often ruins the game and did so in good spirits. Very understated in the background performance, barely noticed him all game, even with specifically watching him! Calm demeanor, looked very relaxed and confident. Positioning and fitness were very good. Good foul detection, consistent with his decision making, fair to both teams, what was deemed a foul remained a foul if similar occured. 3 handball shouts during the game, none of which were deliberate & he rightly waved all of them away. Only 1 incident of a team trying to pressure him into a decision and that when there was a bit of a coming together between Szalai & some Estonian, the Estonians wanted Szalai booked & he just waved them away. It was not a booking & he was right to do so. 4 bookings across the game, none of which were met with any dissent & all imo, correct. 1st time I have seen him at adult level & I'd like to see him in a more challenging game but he certainly gets a from me on last night's showing. He can go home pleased with his contribution in a very enjoyable game. Well done young man.

I think he looks like one for the future & shall make a point to look out for him in the future. Of course he wore black so started out in bmb's good books! He's also rather cute looking albeit a bit too skinny for bmb's liking! I kept thinking he looked like he needed a decent dinner inside of him!

Talking of needing a decent dinner inside of him, I could not help but notice that his AARs were Messrs Ham (iti)  & Met (a). I'll get my coat  ;D
