Happy Christmas!
« on: Mon 24 Dec 2018 14:24 »
May I take this opportunity to wish all our contributors and readers a very Happy Christmas.

My Christmas list this year includes:

* toddlers waking up no earlier than 8am
* children eating all their brussel sprouts and then sitting quietly whilst the adults watch The Queen
* teenagers bringing their parents a cup of tea and toast in bed
* parents thanking their little ones for the pair of Christmas socks or boxer shorts that are way too small to wear
* grandparents refraining from mentioning the word 'B****t' or pontificating about 'the good old days' or lack of alcohol in the Xmas pud
* Lewis failing to get his hands on Audrey's Ł000s in Corrie.

And then for Boxing Day....

* a card-free day on the football field (CB and TK please note), bar Xmas cards which will be exchanged before the KO
* officials being applauded on and off the field
* refs and ARs dressed in festive red and blue rather than the unmentionable y****w.
* NW accepting defeat at Selhurst Park graciously and without blaming the officials
* Crewe beating Lincoln.

I'll leave you to add to the list. Thanks to our Admins for making the transition to the new website such a smooth affair! And all the best for a very Merry Christmas. Cheers!

It probably flies in the face of employment law, but I would like to see the abolition of SG2. Apart from the obvious couple, you can count on the fingers of a pair of Xmas mittens those who are actually good enough to be doing it for a living.

On a lighter note, Season's Greetings to All.  Have a good one.

Now my football wish list:

A run of good games for my beloved teams Lilák & Kispest
Vidi to beat Fradi to winning the league in the 97th min on the last day of the season - a dodgy pen given by István Vad would be even better for my amusement factor!
Solymosi Péter to continue refereeing until he is about 90 at least!
FIFA to issue a directive declaring y****w referee shirts are banned with immediate effect - bring back the sexy purple kit!
IFAB to add into Law 4 that any teams wearing y****w football kits will be automatically kicked out of the league & barred from all footballing activity for the audacity of it!!!
A top 6 finish in the PL for AFCB, Wolves, Watford <---- yay for the little(r) guys!

And

bmb jr to make me a cuppa without needing a threat of an internet ban 1st!
Hungarian citizenship granted a year & a half early early as I still don't know what my residency status is going to be post brexit or even if I'm going to be allowed to remain as a resident in Hungary as it is currently subject to me being an EU citizen!
A 1 way ticket to Budapest - the travelling between Darsetshire & Hungary is a killer! 18 months & counting!

Belated Christmas Greetings to all from the QuoCob household.
Hope Santa granted you all that you requested and any disappointments didn't spoil your enjoyment.
