So in the Liverpool v Napoli game, Ospina jumper onto Mané missed the ball and then fell over. Referee awards a foul against Mané for impeding the goalie in the execution of collecting the ball, Mané did not jump out of the Ospina’s way.
So are goalies now overprotected or is just what we should now expect in football?
The Referee got virtually everything else wrong all night so why should this be an exception?
Whilst it happened in the Napoli game, it's a lot more common now in all games. Goalie can make a mistake, jump into an opposing player and get a foul.
